Terms of Use
What Zala Secure is and isn't, who can use it, and the rules for using it.
Last updated 17 September 2026. Operated by Zala Software FZ-LLC, VUNE2496, Compass Building – Al Hulaila, Al Hulaila Industrial Zone–FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. These terms are written to be clear, but they are a starting-point draft, not legal advice for your situation. If anything here is unclear, write to info@zala-me.com before relying on it.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms govern your use of Zala Secure: the website at secure.zala-me.com and its app, the Telegram bot @zala_secure_bot, Zala Secure on WhatsApp, the address check@zala-me.com, the phone apps for Android and iPhone, and the browser extension (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these terms and to the Zala Secure privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
2. A service in pilot
Zala Secure is in pilot. Features are added, changed and sometimes removed, and the Service may be interrupted. During the pilot the features are free to use, within daily limits. If we ever plan to charge for something, we will say so clearly beforehand, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
3. Who can use it
- You must be 16 or older. A parent or guardian may set Zala Secure up for, and use it with, a younger person.
- Zala Secure is not offered to people who live in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. You must tell us truthfully where you live; if you live in one of those places, you may not use it.
- You must follow the law where you are when you use it.
4. What Zala Secure is — and isn't
These points matter more than anything else on this page:
- A second opinion, not a guarantee. Zala looks for signs of scams, fraud and account takeover using automated checks, public sources, AI and community reports. It can miss a scam, and it can flag something genuine. It never says that something is safe, and “no warning signs” doesn't mean safe.
- Your decisions are yours. Whether to pay, click, reply, install, share information or trust someone is your decision. Before acting on anything important, check with the organisation through a channel you already trust.
- Not professional advice. Zala Secure isn't legal, financial, investment or security consultancy, and isn't a substitute for your bank, the police or a lawyer.
- Not an emergency service. If money has been taken or someone is in danger, contact your bank and the police immediately.
- It can't recover money. Zala doesn't recover lost funds and doesn't work with anyone who offers to do so for a fee.
- Community reports are reports, not findings. A number, account, wallet or website shown as reported means several people reported it — not that we have established who is behind it or that they did anything wrong.
5. Your responsibilities
- Only send us things you are entitled to share, and avoid sending other people’s personal information beyond what is needed to check something.
- Don’t send passwords, full card numbers or one-time codes. Zala removes what it can recognise, but never needs them.
- Don’t use Zala Secure to harass, defame, stalk or deceive anyone, including by making false community reports.
- Don’t try to break, overload, scrape or get around the limits of the Service, reverse-engineer it, or use it to test attacks on systems you don’t own or have permission to test.
- Features that involve another person — family alerts, sharing your phone’s health, practice weeks — work only with that person’s own agreement. Don’t try to enrol or monitor anyone without it.
- Keep access to your accounts and connected phones secure, and disconnect a phone you no longer use.
6. What you share with us
You keep any rights you have in what you send. You give us permission to process it to provide the Service as described in the Zala Secure privacy policy. If you choose to share a redacted copy to improve detection, or separately agree that an example may be shown on the website, you allow us to keep and use it for that purpose until you withdraw it with /forget or by contacting us.
7. Phone app permissions and optional features
The phone apps ask for some permissions and offer optional features — call warnings, the link shield, the message guard, background checkups, Usage Access, adding security alerts to your inbox, and sharing your phone's health with family. Each is your choice, explained where you turn it on, and can be turned off in the app or your phone's settings at any time.
8. Other services
Zala Secure works with services run by others, including Telegram, WhatsApp (Meta), Apple, Google, Clerk and app stores. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies, and we aren't responsible for how they operate. Links to other websites — including organisations' official sites — are provided for convenience; we don't control them.
9. Our content and the software
The Zala Secure name, logo, websites, apps, software and content belong to Zala or its licensors. You may use them to use the Service and to share Zala's warnings, guides and alert cards with family and friends. You may not copy, resell or build a competing service from them without our written permission.
10. Availability and changes
We try to keep Zala Secure available and accurate, but we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular feature will continue. We may change, limit or stop features, and we may apply daily limits to keep the Service usable and its costs under control.
11. Disclaimers and limits of liability
- Zala Secure is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that it will detect every scam or that its results are complete or correct.
- To the extent the law allows, Zala isn’t liable for losses caused by scams, fraud or third parties, for decisions you make with or without Zala’s results, or for indirect or consequential losses.
- During the pilot, while the Service is free, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Zala Secure is limited to AED 100.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer that can’t be waived.
12. Suspending or ending use
You can stop using Zala Secure at any time, and ask us to delete your data as the Zala Secure privacy policy describes. We may suspend or end access to any part of the Service if you break these terms, misuse it or put others at risk, or where the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Please contact us first — most problems can be sorted out quickly. If a dispute can't be resolved, the courts of Ras Al Khaimah have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have to bring a claim where you live under mandatory consumer law.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service changes. We will change the date above, and if a change matters to you we will tell people using the Service before it takes effect. Continuing to use Zala Secure after that means you accept the updated terms. Questions: info@zala-me.com.
