Zala — Making AI Useful
Education

One platform for the whole school, in Arabic and English.

Website, parent and staff portal, learning platform, mobile app and practical AI, built as one system with one sign-in. So a school stops paying for, updating and securing each of them separately.

What we build

Six parts that share one platform.

Each part has its own price and its own acceptance, so a school can start with what it needs most. Because they share one database and one set of roles, each one costs less than it would alone.

School website

A fast site in Arabic and English, made for the phone, with admissions and fees easy to find. Old links keep working.

Content editor

One place for staff to edit pages, news and events, with a preview in the real design. Publish once and it reaches the site and the app.

School portal

Notices, attendance and absence requests with approval. Each parent sees only their own children; each teacher, their own classes.

Learning platform

Classes, courses, files, homework, quizzes, grades and messaging, inside the portal and app, with one sign-in.

Mobile app

The school’s own iPhone and Android app, under its own name, with notifications for what matters to each family.

Practical AI

An assistant for every role, a weekly summary for parents, early warnings for staff, and drafts for teachers to check.

On the phone

What it looks like for each person.

Illustrative screens with invented names.

Miss, can I hand in the diagram as a photo?
Ms. Noor
Yes, a clear photo is fine. Make sure the labels can be read.
Mr. Karim, coordinator
If the photo isn’t clear, paper on Wednesday is fine too.

A teacher building a quiz

For every role

Everyone sees only what is theirs.

Parents
  • Switch between children
  • Attendance, homework and grades in one place
  • Request an absence with a photo of the medical note
  • A short summary of the week, every Sunday
Students
  • Course files, links and folders
  • Hand in work from the phone or Google Drive
  • Take quizzes and see grades
  • Help that explains, rather than answers
Teachers
  • Each class, with its courses inside
  • Create homework and quizzes from the phone
  • Take attendance, mark work, give feedback
  • Draft questions and notices with AI, then approve them
Administration
  • Notices to the school, a year group, a class or a family
  • Approve absence requests in one queue
  • A whole-school dashboard, as a PDF or weekly email
  • See who changed what, in an activity log
Quizzes and exams

Teachers build them. Most of the marking does itself.

Write a question, take one from the school’s question bank, or draft it with AI. Set the time limit, attempts and opening times, then publish to a class.

One device during exams

Everyone can use several devices day to day. During a quiz, it stays on one: a second sign-in with the same account is blocked and the teacher is told. It stops shared accounts, not every kind of cheating.

AI, with limits

Children’s data sets the rules.

Answers come only from what that person may see. A parent’s assistant knows their own children, and no one else’s.

Teachers approve every AI draft before a student or parent sees it.

Early warnings explain why a student was flagged, and decide nothing on their own.

A provider that does not keep or train on the data, and families can opt out.

A monthly spending cap, so the running cost is known in advance.

Connections

It works with what the school already has.

Your school information system

Official grades and fee balances stay where they are entered. The platform reads them and shows each family what is theirs, so nothing is typed twice.

Google Workspace or similar

School accounts for sign-in, and files added straight from Google Drive without uploading them again.

Your existing LMS

We measure what is really used, then move it: course files, question banks, grades and message history, checked against the original.

Hosted and looked after

Everything in one place on Amazon Web Services, with updates, monitoring and nightly backups kept apart from the server.

Tell us how your school runs today.

We start by looking at what you actually use, and what it costs you. Then we’ll tell you what’s worth building and what isn’t.
